In situations where web content managers have to place a lot of files on the web, manually maintaining an index can be an extensive job. File index suite builds the directory list on the fly, using a template holding your web style (snippet file). There are four flavors of index programs: txtfileindex for plain text files, htmlfileindex for any kind of html files, pdffileindex for PDF files, the Adobe Portable Document Format, and wordfileindex for Microsoft Word documents. Each of these index programs can be configured for the following settings: Sort sequence, Properties and sequence of them to be shown, and which of them will contain the link to the file Template to be used, and File name masking. | |
